    Separate dimmers control both lights.

I have 2 Lutron MACL 153 dimmers in a double box with a single power source. The idea was to have each dimmer operating a series of 4 lights on each side of a large room. Everything in and working correctly but both switches operate both lights. Incorrect wiring at the switches?

    Hello SJudge,
It sounds like you might have a slight mis-wire with one of the MACL-153M dimming controls.
It sounds like power is being shared for each of the MACL-153M dimmers in this 2 gang wallbox, that hot wire feeding power from your breaker should be daisy chained to the black terminal screw on each of the MACL-153M dimmers.
For each of your lighting loads you should have a hot wire that feeds power to them commonly referred to as the "Switched Leg". You should have each switched leg attached to it's respective dimming control on the brass terminal screw.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Separate dimmers

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, after rewriting both dimmers as suggested, I have power to all lights but the switch will not control the lights, as in they won’t turn off and there are no indicator lights on. It’s as if the power is bypassing the switch altogether.

    Hello SJudge,
I think in this situation it might be best to give us a call here at Lutron Tech Support @ 1-888-Lutron1 (588-7661) when you have some time for us to go over the wiring on the phone with you to help determine what is going wrong. We are available 24/7.

    Thanks,
    JustinF.
