Diva DVFSQ-LFH fan control and light switch to only connect to fan

I mistakenly bought the DVFSQ-LFH that has both fan control and light switch, but I just want it to connect to my fan. Can I still use it to only connect to the fan so that the switch will turn the fan on/off and the slider will control fan speed?

Unfortunately, you would not be able to use it just for the fan, as it requires both a fan and lighting load in order to work. We would recommend the DVFSQ-F as it is designed for only fan loads.
