In this scenario the potential exists for a Caseta switch (no neutral) to be back fed on the load side of the switch without the switch being turned on. How will the Caseta switch behave in this scenario?

My guess is the switch is going to be confused. When you initially power up the switch, it determines that pigtail A is power in. They you back feed and now pigtail B is power in.
I'm not sure what the application is but I would not use an electronic switch.

Ok so when the switch is initially powered on, it determines which tail is line and which tail is load? this suggests a sequence is performed by the switch internally. Does the switch then “remember” which tail was assigned line vs load?
Would using the PD-10NXD-XX where the red wire is the expected load negate the confusion of the switch. Could installing a diode on the load side be the protection for the switch assuming there isn’t some sort of protection built into switch already?
