using https post to control lights

Is there an easy way to send https post commands in order to turn lights on or off? I see that when im in the web ui it sends https://5.5.5.5/Area/MoveZonesToLeve...ea/793&level=0 I tried doing this myself but obviously i need to authenticate so i tried using session id and auth from the cookie but i keep getting 302 errors so, im just hoping there is some way to do this so i can integrate into our sharepoint page to help better control the building
