Caseta Not Working With IKEA Fixture

My wife purchased the IKEA PS 2014 light fixture for my son's room. (For the record, I hate it too.)

However, the Casetta switch in this room stopped working -- it worked for about 30 seconds (not sure exactly how long). And then the green lights on the switch went out. None of the buttons would do anything. Light fixture remained on. (Using the same bulb that was in the previous fixture.)

Reinstalled the switch in my daughter's room and the switch works perfectly.

So I think it has to be some incompatibility between the switch and the fixture -- Only thing unusual about it is that it says it has an "automatic shut off feature" if a bulb of more than 13W is but in the fixture. Is there anything I can do to get them to work together?

Was the bulb you put in an incandescent bulb (old style) or LED. It sounds as if the "overheating protection" kicked in. That is what you called the "automatic shut off feature". A regular bulb will will not work in this, you should get a compatible LED bulb.

I was using the same 6W LED bulb I had in the previous fixture. It is working fine in the new fixture with a mechanical switch,

I am stumped!!! The fixture should not make a difference.

    Only a 6 watt load?

Not sure if you are using dimmer or switch but I would try the load capacitor.

Troubleshooting Your Lutron Caseta Wireless Light Switch or Dimmer
    Before you begin:
Have you installed your Lutron device and activated it with the Lutron mobile app?
Have you connected your Lutron device to the Xfinity Home app for mobile devices?
Do you know how to control your device from the Xfinity Home app for mobile devices?
Is a rule to control your Lutron device not working?
    Is a scene not working?

    Replying to previous post --
No need to connect to device to app for dimmer/switch to work.
Xfinity has nothing to do with this post.
Again rules/scenes have nothing to do with this problem.

I suspect ronchse22 is a troll since his other post is advertising.
