    Qed shade wiring

Has anyone successfully wired a qed shade from a pnl10 with only four conductors? I have a damaged wire and only have four good wires.

QED shades need individual power feeds (pins 5,6,7 of connector), but the communications (pins 1,2,3,4) can be daisy chained from another shade. If you can split up the wires in this manner, you will have extra wires at the SVQ-10-PNL to ensure 26VAC power to the shade.

There is not a way to supply power and communication to a QED shade using only four wires.

Use the good wires for the mux link, power up the shade locally with a small transformer. I know the green ground is not needed...
I am not as dumb as you look..

It could work with just the 2 MUX and 2 AC wires, though the common wire is desired and a ground recommended for safety.

Communication wiring would require pins 1,3, and 4. This is the Common and two MUX wires. Pin 2 is a 15VDC output that is used to power an external keypad, if needed.
