    Removing and replacing a dimmer

    Hi.

I've had a dimmer (6NA) go bad at a clients and I'd like to remove and replace it without having to reprogram all the scenes etc associated with this dimmer. Is this possible? If so, how? Thanks

    Connected,

If you are software programming the system, you will need to deactivate the old dimmer and activate the new dimmer in it's place. Go to the Activate tab and locate the dimmer on the Controls table below the devices. Right click on the 6NA and choose "Deactivate". Once the device is deactivated you can now activate the new 6NA into it's programming location and transfer.

If you are walk-around programming, unfortunately the keypads will need to be reprogrammed to incorporate the new 6NA.

If you have the serial of the new device, you can also replace the serial number

    Hi All,

Thanks so much for the tips. Deactivating and re-activating worked perfectly and saved me a ton of time. Wish I'd asked this before!

    Thanks again.
