    Dimmable Outdoor Cans?

I'm looking for smallish cans to go in enclosed compartments in a pergola in Indiana. Ambient temps will hit low single digit 100°F and single digit °F negatives.

I don't see many options, even though there are a ton of LED cans in different sizes from different manufacturers. CREE has a new version "A" LR6 that is wet listed, but they can't confirm it works below 0. The best I know to do is a PAR38 bulb from CREE that is rated for wet and outdoor we can drop into a housing, but something like that is a bit too tall for this application. This would work for a standard dimmer (maybe 6NA or 10ND) if it fit.

Is anyone aware of anything that would work? Thanks!

I'm using P Series LED by Lithonia Lighting on my front porch. They are wet rated for indoor use but I have not had any issues so far.

Nice! Thanks, and I'll check them out. It sounds like CREE's LR6 Version A (actually second version just released), CR4, and CR6 are in that same wet indoor category.

On amazon you could have many choices of PAR38 bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=PAR38+bulb

Check the Cree CR4 on the LED product selection page and it's report card. I believe it at one time was listed for 54 CR4s on a single RRD-6NA. Caution though, the Cree product of the last few years (at least from the mass market chains) began to behave less than optimal compared to 4-5 years ago.

Watch using the P series from Lithonia with the RRD-6CL. Acuity/Lithonia added tech similar to the C*L technology from Lutron that can cause compatibility issues. Go RRD-10ND and it should be great.
