    8ANS to Outdoor GFCI?

I know 6D's aren't happy if you don't have any load, but would an 8ANS be fine because it has the neutral on a GFCI? I was thinking of doing one for Christmas lights.

Good call. I've never used those, but this would be the right part I think: http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocum...369769_ENG.pdf

Any reason not to do this and any GFCI issues?

Put the GFCI ahead of the Switch or use a GFCI circuit breaker. Some GFCI's may trip or need to be reset when you power them.
