    Cree LED Flickering

    Hello,

Trying to get some advice, as I'm a bit stumped. I have 2 separate circuits in the basement, both with recessed lighting. These are 15a circuits. For sake of ease-- Circuit A has 8 bulbs, while Circuit B has 4 bulbs. Circuit A is also attached a few other outlets in the house, Circuit B is not.

Both circuits are using the Lutron AYCL-153P Dimmer, and are on 3 way switches with a regular (On/Off) switch as well. The bulbs I am using are Cree BBR30-06527FLF-12DE26-1U100's. One by one, I've noticed that the bulbs are starting to flicker to the point where they might be completely turned off for milliseconds at a time. Once the bulb has been affected, it stays with the bulb no matter which socket to place it in. This behavior has been observed on both A and B circuits. I don't often dim the lights; and the flicker occurs anywhere from full brightness all the way to the lowest dimmer setting.

I've exchanged a few of the bulbs already, it seems to be a temporary fix for a few months, but then another bulb starts to act up a week or two later. I'm not sure where to go from here. Could the 3 way switches be affecting the bulbs? Am I just really unlucky with bulb picking (3 of 12 bulbs already exchanged)? Could the fixtures be playing a fiendish role in any of this? Any advice would be appreciated, I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Random side note-- they all buzz (figure there's no getting around that) but not enough to drive me crazy; which is surprising, because I find I'm pretty sensitive to noises like that.

It's always a good idea to check compatabilty of lamps before buying. Here's a list from Lutron and the list I prefer from enviromental lighting.

Thanks for the guides, but I had already compared the Lutron one before buying and it looks like my selection is compatible (or am I looking at it incorrectly?). I'm not sure how to look over the Environment Lights guide, unless I was looking to get new bulbs; in which case I would be extremely disappointed since I already dropped $200 on a set of Cree's.

I actually had my friend buy the same bulbs, but using a different fixture and dimmer, it displays the same behavior in one of his bulbs. We live in the same city, but not the same neighborhood; maybe its something to do with the electricity quality? I might try buying a bulb or two of another brand and see how they react.
