Best shading solution for 8 foot tall 6 foot wide sliding glass door?

With a large sliding glass door like mentioned (split in the middle with only one side opening), what's the best solution? The door is used for entry to an outdoor living space, and in the evening, it would be good to have it closed (or on command when the sun is too bright). However, as an exit to the home, no one would want to wait a long time for it to open as they would just be waiting. What have you folks done in such a situation?

I suppose there there wouldn't be much that can be done about the wait on a motorized system. The only options that would reduce the wait time would be our manual shades and our drapery track with the manual open master carrier. Here is a a link to the topic in our shades section of the forums.

Thanks for the reply. What do you think about the Kirbé? I really like that it gets out of the way completely, but I suppose there wouldn't be an easy way to open it manually if needed.
