    Control outdoor landscape transformer

Will a Caseta switch or lamp dimmer (in switch only mode) be able to control a 300 watt or less landscape power transformer?

The switch will work fine. The lamp dimmer should work. However, it has a 2-prong plug and all the landscape transformers I have seen have a 3-prong plug.

I have tested a couple of outdoor transformers with the switch and they work, I have not tested with a lamp dimmer.

If you are looking to dim the transformer, run the PD-10NXD. Neutral wire for consistency, especially when choosing LED fixtures.
