    Minimum laptop specs for Essentials?

    Hi folks!

First post for me, but happy to be part of this community.

Can anyone direct me to the minimum laptop specs required to run Essentials? I've scoured this forum and the internet and can't find a thing. Is it basically just a laptop running Windows 10? How much hard drive space is required to install the software and subsequent files? I'm trying to figure out if I can use an old desktop (running low on hard drive space, and pretty slow processor at this point) or if I should just buy the cheapest laptop out there - looks like I can pick up one for $150 (wow, cheap).

    Thanks all!

You may have to sign in to your myLutron account to view the file.

If you are thinking MAC, one thing the document omits is that, even running windows, the MAC OS handles the external communication. MAC OS natively blocks FTP which Lutron uses. You will need to adjust some settings to make that work.

RR2 takes some time to load and you can't have RR2 and HQS open at the same time <grumble...grumble...>. Compiling also takes a lot of resources. If you are not compiling and don't have to swap between RR2 and HQS, the desktop may be fine.

    Exactly what I needed, thanks!
