    Question identify dimmer switch

I have a lutron dimmer switch that I need to identify in order to determine its compatibility with LEDs. I see mark 6B38 stamped on the metal surround. Can this be translated into a model name? 6B38 appears to be an unknown in your website.

That isn't a Lutron model number. The model number is usually on a sticker on the side. It might help if you could post a picture.

    Hello pcwalker,

    Thank you for your post!

That number is our UL listing. What does your switch physically look like? randyc is correct most of our dimmers have the model number on a sticker or on the metal yoke above the 6B38.

    Hope this helps!
