MACL-153 occupancy sensor always turns light on to Max dim level
If I dim it to an acceptable level then toggle it on/off it stays at that level. But if I set the dim level and walk away no matter how many times I dim the light down it always gets triggered to turn on to max brightness when I return. I've tried reprogramming back to default but nothing has changed. It's a newer switch and wasn't like this for the first week I had it. Is there anything I can do or does it need to be returned?

Not MACL, the MSCL-OP153M

The manual on setting and the sensor on setting are (mostly) independent features. It sounds like the device is programmed to turn on at 100%. See section 8d of attached.

Murphy's law of electronics. It will work find until it randomly changes. It will go back to normal when the tech pulls in the driveway.

I believe the problem was it was mis-wired. The live wire and the one to the light were flipped. Probably lost its memory as a result.
