Off Grid on Solar - Phantom Loads Maestro, Lumena and Skylark Dimmers?

    Hello

We are purchasing dimmers for our off grid home and need to know if any of these dimmers have phantom loads (ie draw current when off) and how large these loads are. Since the Maestro is digital and uses a neutral wire, I imagine it does.

    Thanks

The Maestro is 0.6w. Lumea and Skylark have mechanical off switches so power is completely cut off.

    Hello Solarislander,

    Thank you for your post!

All of our digital controls will leak a very small amount of current in the off position.

randyc is correct with the Maestro and our analog controls such as the Lumea and Skylark.

Think of it like this: any control that had a locator light or indicator lights have a current draw in the off position.

    This includes:

    Maestro
    Grafik T
    Caseta
And any analog control with a nightlight.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Julia

That was helpful. We like our Caseta wireless dimmers. What is the standby power draw for each of these units?

    Hello Graham,

The Caseta power draw is 0.2W in the off position.

    Hope this helps!
