Security concern regarding visor control transmitter

Ive got a scenario where setting up a visor control transmitter to activate a away scene, close garage, and arm alarm is desired. My concern is how secure is the signal being transmitted to the VCRX? I know garage door openers have a rolling code system that make it hard to "listen in" and snatch a RF signal that you can duplicate. Whats the setup with the Visor control? Anyone from lutron tech support chime in on this? Thanks

I believe it uses HomeLink communication, which is a Johnson Controls protocol. They advertise it as being safe for security.

That being said, I thought the trend was away from these devices (including security fobs) toward smart phones with better security.
