Upgrade
I have a repeater that has 7.3 code on it. When I attempt to upgrade to 10.x or 12.x, it just sits at "Compiling boot update information for devices". I have not activated any devices on this repeater.

After waiting about 10 minutes, I get the message "Radio RA2 could not update the main repeater"

You'll probably have to upgrade in steps- 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0. until 12. There is a spot on the myLutron download area for older versions of the software. You'll need an account (they are free, just need to get "certified" with the software to download).

My laptop has the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client installed on it. Uninstalling that fixed the problem. After that, I was able to go straight to 12.

Check compatibility: Ensure that the firmware version you're attempting to upgrade to is compatible with your repeater model. Sometimes, certain firmware versions may not be supported by older devices.
Internet connection stability: Verify that your internet connection is stable and reliable during the upgrade process. Unstable or slow internet connectivity can cause issues with downloading and installing firmware updates.
