Diva ELV dimmer to WAC ELV xfmr to WAC Pro3 LED strips Random flickering
Am getting random flickering using:
Lutron DVELV-300P
WAC EN-24100-RBT-T 24v electronic transformer
11 ft of WAC Pro 3 Invisiled 24 v strips 5W per ft
Flickering seldom occurs at full intensity.
Would switch to Caseta... PD-5NE or PD6-WCL ??
Would a Lutron LUT-MLC be helpful during operation on the DVELV-300P ?

WAC Lighting is notoriously difficult to work with when specifying Lutron. Normally the Diva ELV would be the correct choice. Check that there is not a motor load sharing your neutral. Other than that, I would advise finding another driver for the tape. The MLC is designed to cut the micro-amperage on the digital dimmers (Caseta, Maestro, RadioRA2 and Select). It would not help here, and I would not advise switching to the digitals as a replacement, as I have ALWAYS had issues with WAC ELV drivers and transformers.

Thanks Mike
What about an RC snubber across the line at the input to the electronic transformer..
I have a low and high voltage switch box to make the connections. Found this, available locally. For $7, thought it might be worth a try

Could work, but it's way outside my skills. At $7 it might be worth a shot. Post back up and let us know.

The RC snubber did not work..
Its still unclear what is the source of the 10-20HZ flicker. I put a 2 channel scope on input and output of transformer/driver, could not duplicate with scope attached. 10:1 on the line side, 1x on the 24VAC output. Interesting to see the dimmer function. Not just a triac cutoff, but the waveform was FM chopped, like a PWM, but the chop was uniform in freq, maybe 300HZ.
Any how, no flicker while connected
Tried the RC snubber on output of Diva dimmer, to neutral.. no bueno.
Tried a Feit dimmer that advertises an adjustment for flicker, turned out to be just a low voltage cutoff on the low end of dimmer range.. Might be helpful for those applications where the LED wont shut off. It was worse for flicker throughout dimming range.

Thanks for the update. You sound way more skilled in the electrical engineering department than I am. What I can tell you from experience, try to swap the driver to another brand. I've had good luck using magnetic (forward phase) LV drivers with the neutral wire forward phase digital dimmers. Should be the DVLV if you stay analog, try the MRF2-6ND dimmer otherwise.
