Exclamation Control RGBW Intensity on QS link with QSE-CI-DMX

Has anyone integrated the QSE-CI-DMX interface to a RGBW controller. We have a instance where we have to control intensity on an defined rgbw value. The client want to dim this rgbw value from the lutron app. Whats the simplest integration? How do we program the dmx interface to control the RGBW channel since the program only allows for RGB values.
I understood from the Lutron docs that we can use 1 channel to control intensity but the software only has values for RGB. How can we program dimming on a RGBW fixture ?

    Anyone ?

    Thanks.

    Yes.

    Think this way:

    Each fixture is 3 zones:
1 zone is a 3 channel RGB zone
    1 zone is a 1 channel W zone
    1 zone is a 1 channel Intensity

If all you need to do is control intensity you can do that with a 1 channel lighting definition. I'm hoping the DMX RGBW is set once at setup on the fixture and all you do is control intensity, it's the simplest solution.

Be careful about fade time- if you are fading from zero to 100 over 2 seconds with DMX like this lutron will send several DMX intensity commands to the DMX device over a 2 second period, and this may look funky. You may want to just send the command with no fade.

    Hello dexter4000,
Please review this application note. http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocum...MX_Outputs.pdf
