    Question Google Assistant reports problem but performs the action nonetheless

    Hello all,

    I've just installed my first dimmer and Hub, and I've connected Google Assistant on my phone to my Lutron account. I'm having a weird problem where Google sometimes reports an error when there's no apparent error. Here are some example interactions:

    Me: OK Google, lights on
    <lights turn on>
    Google: OK, turning on the Living Room Main Lights. I'm afraid there was an error and I'm unable to control your home device.

    Me: OK Google, lights off
    <lights turn off>
    Google: Sure, turning the Living Room Main Lights off. I'm afraid there was an error and I'm unable to control your home device.

    Me: OK Google, lights to 100%
    <lights turn on>
    Google: There you go, setting the Living Room Main Lights brightness to 100 percent.

    Me: OK Google, lights to 0%
    <lights turn off>
    Google: OK, setting the Living Room Main Lights brightness to 0 percent.

    So it seems like when I do on/off, it reports a problem, but percentages are fine. And it always performs the expected action nonetheless. Is anyone having a similar issue? Does anyone know what I could do to address it?

    Thanks,

    Dan

    I've just unlinked and relinked my Lutron account, and I still get the same behaviour.

    This is very strange.
    Could you please send us a feedback file from your Caseta system that includes the bridge logs?

    In order to get the bridge logs that we need, please do the following:

    • Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network as the Caseta bridge.
    • In the Caseta app, go to Settings > Help> Send Feedback.
    • When the feedback email appears, give a short version of the above info and send it. (Please make sure the feedback file is attached to the email when you send it.)
