I would run the RRD-8ANS to be safe. You will lose the dimming capabilities until you can get the LMJ added via the software. Just remember- you'll need the Inclusive version to get the LMJ into the system. Essentials does not have those available.

Thanks Mike!, yes, I think I will remove the dimming capability it's not really used anymore, will be more simple for us since I don't have the Inclusive software (only Essential), otherwise I will have to pass the L2 course when it's in town (which happen once a year), only to be able to program the RF Dimming Module ... also there is no documentation around saying that adding the RF Dimming Module with the Inclusive software give us the ability to command the lights with RS232.

I'll be honest, if you are controlling third party to RA2 via RS232, you've already pretty much covered the majority of the L2 class. There are some interesting timeclock exercises and learning to use the shared scenes. But a majority, unless it's changed, has always been telnet/RS232 programming. You will learn some nice tricks to check timeclocks via telnet, BTW.

The LMJ modules are only available in the RR2 Inclusive software.

Given the choice, I would use a device with a neutral. The RRD-8ANS is rated for fluorescent so it should work.

There is also a question of sink vs source. Basically, who is supplying the 10v signal. The LMJ can do either but you have to set it accordingly.
