Thread: Honeywell TouchPro replacing Tekmar 519 Thermostat

Honeywell TouchPro replacing Tekmar 519 Thermostat

I have radiant in-floor heat in my home, I'm using Tekmar 519 Tstats with slab sensors. I'm going to replace one of the 519's with the HWLV-HVAC and maybe over time I'll replace the rest with the TouchPro's.

I'm wondering if I can hook the slab sensor to the S1/S2 terminals on the TouchPro and get the air/slab temp averaging? Is one of the S terminals common? I can't seem to find anything specific about those terminals via the install guide or product specifications.

Here is the Tekmar 519 wiring diagram.

You will need to check with Honeywell. When I talked to them there were only 1 or 2 devices the Tstat would recognize. All made by Honeywell of course.

I had a customer use the TouchPro, but not sure about the extra slab sensors. I don't believe the TouchPro/VisionPro has any external sensor options.

I looked over on the Honeywell site and saw they had two remote sensors, indoor and outdoor for the TouchPro. Not really going to work for slab sensor though, would be nice if support was there but not the end of the world either.

That remote sensor for is only reported on the TouchPRO/VisionPRO. The t-stat itself does nothing with the info and RA2 has no way to use that info either.
