PD-6ANS-WH Running a Fan is Flaky

Trying to run a standard, three speed Hunter fan with a 6ANS and having some issues.

Fan off. I can get to on one of two ways:
    1) Turn on switch, fan does not respond. Pull bypass tab, push tab back in, fan turns on. (This works at any fan speed)
    2) Turn on, fan does not turn on. Cycle speed cord from high, to med, to low, to off, back to high. Fan turns on when it gets back to high.

    Things that do not work:
    1) Switch in off position, pull tab, push tab, turn on.
    2) no remote controls work, except by using same procedures.

    Thoughts here?

You may need to install a LUT-MLC to meet the minimum load requirement.

If your fan has a receiver installed for a remote control, it is keeping the switch from seeing the actual load. If so, the LUT-MLC may not work anyway.

You stated that the fan has a pull cord. That implies there is no receiver interfering.

You stated that the remote controls don't work. What are you using for remotes? The 6ANS will work with a single 3-way switch if you install the jumper per the wiring diagram. If you have more than 2 locations you will need to use Pico remotes (which don't have a pull out bypass switch).

If you only have 1 switch location, make sure the power is coming in on the black and out to the fan on the red. The blue wire is not used.
