    Homeworks H-RFP-2P to RadioRa2

Would a home wired for a homeworks system be able to be converted to a RadioRa2 system? I have a home with about 75 devices that needs to be upgraded and I am trying to figure out how intensive ( ;D expensive) it is going to be. I appreciate any insight! Thank you.

Yes. Retail prices for RR2 are less than the HomeWorks RF devices.

    dimmers and switches $150
    dimmer for ELV $200
    keypads $300
    main repeater $500
    Aux repeater $300
Grafik Eyes vary by number of zones and can be up to $1400.

Check with your local rep, see if you can do an Interactive to Illuminations upgrade and then to HomeWorks QS. Might be able to re-use the existing parts and just use new processor and programming. Have you posted in the HWQS forum?

H-RFP-2P was my absolute favorite Homeworks processor because it was an all-in-one for wireless solution back when the only other choices were Radio Ra classic which for that size would be insanely hard or setting up a huge panel and repeaters. Anyway, that was a wireless only system and unless you have complicated logical programming, RA2 is a perfect replacement. You can also go with a Homeworks QS system but as you don't have any wired keypads (yours are RF) and you don't have any RPMs, nothing can be reused. This will be expensive either way but Ra2 is probably 30% cheaper. You can't do the cloud stuff with this processor but it's still very capable and you can alway get another system to link to it or use the original app and do port forwarding and such for remote access if you like. Unless it's falling apart, I'd honestly stick with it. I still have two very happy customers with this processor.
