Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmer Lights very dim till warm up

I replaced a manual dimmer with a Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmer.

During initial install, I had some problems with the lights turning on and then a few seconds later, the lights would turn on and off. I eliminated that problem by removing a couple of cree dimmable LED bulbs. It now behaves okay, but when first turning the system on, the lights are much dimmer than they use to be on the manual dimmer. I think after they warm up they do get brighter, but its quite dim on initial start.

I believe all the lights on this circuit are dimmable CFL bulbs.

    Anyway to resolve this issue?

Would it help to change the dimmer to a switch instead? I thought I saw in the advanced features, you could change the dimmer to on/off mode instead?

    Thanks

    Dim incandescent

I am having a similar issue but with incandescent bulbs. Did you get it resolved? Did you replace the dimmable switch with a toggle switch? Thx

I didn't really get it resolved. I replaced the dimmable CFL's with dimmable LED's that were on the approved list from Lutron. They work well now, but that isn't really a resolution to the original problem.

I thought it was possible to make a dimmer act like a switch, but i was mistaken, that is possible with the dimmable lamp outlet, but not with the wall dimmers.

There are some high and low trim that you can set on the dimmer switch, if your switch isn't going to 100% there may be a problem with your trim levels. I haven't really played with Trim levels, but you could check that.
