    Question Lights turn on randomly

    Hello Community,
Just wondering if anyone has had an issue with Maestro RA2 dimmers randomly turning on lights in a home, at any given time during the day. We recently installed a RA2 system in a new home and Client is telling us lights turn on randomly during the day. We verified Geofencing, Timeclock events and what not, everything seems in order there. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
    Best regards!

Re-update the firmware with a direct connection from repeater to computer. Which version are you using? There are some firmwares that are more stable than others.

We are using Inclusive 11.6.0 and we indeed updated the firmware on the Main Repeater to be able to use 11.6.0.

That one should be stable. Try re-updating, but then you would need to wait and see if your gremlins reappear. Every once in a while I've seen similar strange behavior. Usually clears up after re-doing the firmware.

Ditto. Having the same issue on a brand new install in a currently unoccupied residence. 2 repeater system. Only issue is with outside lights that are on timeclock modes, where they turn on but wont turn off when programed to do so.

So this is what happened.... The lights were not turning on randomly without human action. Actually the Owner was programming Time Clock Events and when you do so, you need to choose the devices that are part of that Event. When choosing them, the devices turn on (probably to confirm it is indeed the zone you want in that Event). Problem is that the Owner was programming the Events while off-site using Lutron CONNECT app, so obviously when returning home he would see a bunch of lights on.... tricky tricky

  7. Thanks SDR-Mike thanked for this post

Thanks for the heads up and update. Something to watch for in the future.
