Thread: DMX control via Nicolaudie Stick Ku1 over IP

  1. #11
I did - and at some point someone (?) told me those where not needed?

This I will have to try
"Ascii did you try Stick_U1 6 001 as ascii command ? to trigger button 1 on stick "

I have noticed when entering HEX or ASCII in QS, the selecting the drop down to change to the other HEX - ASCII - the the code it displays is altered?

    And THANKS for replying!

ok so the packet sender worked odd ? you shouldn't need carriage returns because if you are sure the ascii works from packet sender you would see them in the string. I would go into packet sender and turn off ascii and see if it works. then turn off hex and turn on ascii. I would find out what is actually working from packet sender first

I'll definitely reply back tomorrow when onsite
I've been fighting this for too long

Client comes back Monday. If I can get this working before then, that would be awesome!

Lutron support had me upgrade - so we are now running 10.7 - thankfully that went smooth

You then made up a command set as per Stik protocol either using ascii or hex because their sheet shows both.
Then you can use any button press to send that command set to that ip

Im not so sure in Terminal you will actually see the command set go across I think you will only see the button press and release I will check tomorrow for you

After sending the 3rd party command from Homeworks QS run the outboundconnections command. This will show recent sent/received data in the print out.

Any luck on this? I am about to do the same for the Stick-DE3. I would "***"ume the integration protocol is the same..

    Nope

The outboundconnections show no Ethernet connection. If I understand correctly, Lutron is not able to receive a ping reply. So no connection.

Next attempt was to direct connect processor, laptop, and the Stick, bypassing the network to verify communications.

It was late Friday and I was not able to attempt this.

As for the protocol - should be close? different name in leading digits?
The folks over at Nicolaudie where very helpful
