    Hybrid Keypad Switch?

I have an application where several back doors have a switch controlling a low voltage landscape lighting transformer. I'd like to install keypads at each location, but it looks like the Hybrid Keypad is only available with a dimmer, not a switch. Is there a recommended solution for this situation?

Note that the wiring is such that the switch controls a GFCI outlet, and then the low voltage lighting is plugged into that outlet.

Run a standard W6BRL keypad there, and install an RRD-8ANS-WH near the transformer or use a RR-15APS1-SW if indoor.

I had requested a switching Hybrid (or convertible) back in 2010. I would hope that it would come, but still no word. The application for it is rather limited.

Can't put a standard keypad there, as that's the only accessible wiring location before the outlet itself... Right now there's an Insteon keypad w/switch unit. I guess it'll have to be an RRD-8ANS at that location and no keypad by that door at all.

If there's space on the wall there's always a way to install an extra gang to a box. That if it's plugged into an outlet why not put the 8ANS near that instead? Or consider using an in-line power module like the RR-15APS. That'll give you code-compliant control the device instead of mucking about with controlling an outlet directly.
