Minke-Aire fan spins in wrong direction after installing switch

Today my electrician installed the lutron wireless fan canopy on two minke aire fans.

Everything works perfect except the fan is on winter mode. It has physical reverse switch.

Minke-Aire says the fan will only work with their priopritary canopy and remote - and that's the only way to switch direction!

The fan was on a wall switch and going the correct way bwfore we installed the lutron switch. Any ideas on what to do?

Hello Drockfresh. Unfortunately, if the fan manufacturer says it won't work with 3rd party controls, there is nothing we can do to fix it on Lutron's end.

The fix for the fan direction was to re-install the original canopy that came with the fan and use the original remote to change the direction.

Once the direction was correct, we installed a Lutron switch and receiver and it worked.

It was a terrible design decision by Minke Aire not to install a direction switch on the fan and their tech support was NOT Helpful.

Last Minke Aire fan I ever buy, but luckily it worked out.
