Caseta ELV Dimmer (PD-5NE) with LUT-MLC

An FYI thread for the community.
I installed a Caseta system in my basement HT in 2015. 9 zones. At the time my LED wall sconces (http://www.modernforms.com/product/2783 and http://www.modernforms.com/product/2784) would not work with the MLV dimmers, so for the last year and a half I had the 7 zones of ceiling cans on the Caseta system and the 2 zones of scones on manual ELV dimmers.

I recently purchased 2 of the new ELV Caseta dimmers to finally get all the lights on the Caseta system. The sconces did not flicker and responded fine to the new dimmers, but they would not turn off 100% as I guess a little power bled through to the LED sconces. So, I called Lutron and they shipped me a pair of the LUT-MLC devices. I wired them into the junction boxes behind the sconces (1 on each zone is all you need). Now they turn off 100% and seem to work perfect!

Great to finally have all the lights under the control of Caseta.

Good to hear. I was told by Lutron phone support the LUT-MLC are only good for their switches and not their dimmers. I too am looking to the ELV dimmers to swap out an old 6 zone RadioRa Grafix eye where half the zones are ELV.

In the past, Tech Support was told they could only recommend using the LUT-MLC on non-neutral, digital switches. We recently got the "OK" from engineering to use them on REVERSE PHASE dimmers, like the PD-5NE. Keep in mind they are to be used to resolve "ghosting" issues (light doesn't shut off all the way)...they will not help in situations with flickering, buzzing, etc..
