Crestron has a new "Lutron Tax"

Just FYI, Crestron now charges their dealers a $500 fee if they want to integrate Lutron into a Crestron control system.

if you like using Best in Class solutions, for light control and you want to integrate to Crestron, let them know if you are happy to pay them more for that.

In the past, Crestron has techs that troubleshoot systems that the dealers can fix. They are now charging a $500 integrating (licensing fee). This is offered free of charge, and according to Crestron, most issues are due to conflicts with other devices. So instead of just dropping the free troubleshooting and charging for advanced support. I think all that is a heaping pile of bull. Crestron just wants to push people to their products by making competing products more expensive.
