Fireplace inclusion in Scene based on temperature

I have a setup where there's a fireplace controlled with an 8ANS switch. The fireplace switch is also included in a scene. Is there a good way to use temperature and/or time of the year to apply logic as to whether or not the fireplace is actually turned on?

For example, if it's part of a scene called "Entertain":
    • If "Entertain" is pressed, and it's 20F outside and it's December, the fireplace should turn on.
    • If "Entertain" is pressed, and it's 95F outside and it's July, the fireplace should NOT turn on.

Has anyone figured out a good way to accomplish this? This setup does not have any HVAC control...

    Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I don't have permission to PM yet - I just tried.

I think you would have to incorporate some 3rd party equipment to get a conditional that specific. You could simply add a thermostat or thermocouple to a relay to open or close based on temperature. Adding a specific date I think is out of the question directly in RR2 anyway. The timeclock(s) in RR2 are based on 7-day / 24hr not calendar year(365day).

If it's a gas fireplace, most homeowners would shut the gas supply and the pilot in the summer.
Even if the fireplace switch is pressed, fireplace would not come on.
