Scenes not working with Alexa integration

I am just getting started with this and i am able to control some things by voice. I am having an issue with some of the scenes i have created.

In the "integrating Alexa...." PDF i found this Q&A.

Why can’t I use some keypad buttons with Alexa?
Some buttons may have special programming functions assigned to them.

    What is "special programming"?

    Thanks.

    Hello 39CentStamp,
    Thank you for your post.
Special programming could be variable or conditional programming. Currently the supported button types are scene (single action) and toggle. This is defined in the application note. http://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocum...2_and_HWQS.pdf

Thanks. The pdf you link to doesn't mention variable or conditional just "special programming".
