Question How to limit directivity of Maestro infrared occupancy sensor?

My Maestro MS-A102 Occupancy Sensor has a 45° line of sight to the hallway and turns on every time someone passes by the room. I turned the sensitivity all the way down on the infrared sensor and disabled the ultrasound sensor, and I also tried putting clear packing tape over half of the infrared sensor. Do you have any tips on limiting the directivity of the sensor?

Hello wilkinism, we suggest using a small piece of electrical tape as opposed to clear packing tape. We do have masking kits specifically designed for covering parts of the sensor. If you would like one, please call our 24/7 technical support team and they can get one for you.
