Thread: Lutron CES 2017?

  1. #1

    Lutron CES 2017?

Lots of HomeKit announcements from other vendors today at CES, but I haven't seen anything from Lutron. I know in previous years they've used CES as a platform to announce new products and features.

    Has anyone heard any news?

Nothings yet, but heard a big announcement was coming this week. And there is a smartthings box on the table.

Willing to bet of course that it is not a light and fan combo.

Willing to bet of course that it is not a light and fan combo.

The fact that Lutron has teamed up with Hunter fans indicates that they are not looking to make a fan/light controller I suspect.

    It's pronounced "kas-eight-uh"? I always thought it was "kas-ette-uh".

    Weird.

Yup... how about this: http://www.spanishcentral.com/translate/caseta. Similar meaning of the word is apparently "little houses" in English?

    Well, my CES wishlist:
    Motion sensor integration with hubs
    Fan control
    Increased device count
local integration with more ecosystems (the SmartThings hub is hopeful)

For pronunciation, the accent on the "e" makes it an "aay" sound...

More integration is always welcomed but a new piece of hardware or two would be great. I would love if they joined with Stringify.
