Lamp dimmer and Christmas Lights
Just set up my tree with leds onto a Caseta dimmer (set to on/off mode) I was quite surprised to find out the leds stay on a dim level when turned off.
What am I doing wrong? Did not expect this from the Lamp module.

Add one of the cheap USB plug in chargers for phones and things. You need a bit more load. Someone else was using this set up as a sales tool last year and discovered this work around.

Option B would be to plug in a small (5 watt) incandescent nightlight into the other side of the PD-3PCL control. This should help with getting the LEDs to turn off.

So if it's just an issue of not enough load, then doing a shunt resistor on a lamp plug (soldered and heat shrinked) would do the job. Just something with enough load.I'm surprised the pd-3pcl doesn't have enough load itself to avoid having to do something like this. Makes sense to me that it would be optional on in wall solutions: there is usually sufficient load, the load type tends to be fixed and if needed additional load can be hidden in the wall. With the lamp dimmer it's more likely the use will change and there's no way to hide additional load.
