Caseta dimmer - when on full light level is diminished

i just installed the dimmer from a P-PKG1W-WH for my dining room chandelier. I immediately noticed that the max light output is diminished with the Caseta dimmer vs. the regular 3-way switch that was previously installed. Is this normal or do I have a bad dimmer?

    Thanks!

This is normal, the dimmer automatically takes between 5-10% off the top end. I've probably sold close to a 300,000 dimmers and only had 2 people notice in 13 years.

Thanks for the reply and confirmation. I'll just have to compensate with higher lumen output (preferably with LED bulbs vs the halogens I'm using today).

Just make sure to select LEDs known to be compatible with the dimmers you expect to be using. Not all are compatible.
