Thread: LED State unknown after initial transfer

LED State unknown after initial transfer

After transfer to the system - upon querying the status of an unprogrammed keypad LED via third party - the system reports back 255 (which is undocumented, but appears to mean "unknown"). After setting the LED state, then normal queries result thereafter. Does anyone know if this is expected?

Also, sending normal flash and rapidflash to the keypad does not result in the keypad actually flashing or rapidflashing - although when viewed in Home+, it looks correct. Does anyone know if this is expected?

These tests were done using 6.2.0.

Since the keypad buttons have no programming on them they will report back a state of 255 after a transfer or power cycle of the main repeater. This is as designed since there is nothing programmed to the buttons. If you add a dummy load to the buttons then after a transfer or a power cycle you will receive the proper feedback for the status LED.

The RadioRA2 keypads do not support the flash option for the status LED's, this is a HomeWorks QS feature.
