Disabling Occupancy Sensor on Maestro C.L Dimmer

I recently purchased a Lutron Maestro® C•L® Occupancy Sensor Dimmer, and unfortunately had it installed in a recessed entrance. This will result in the lights automatically turning off when someone is actually present in the room, as the person will not be in the field of view of the sensor. How can I completely disable the Auto-Off feature of the Occupancy Sensor Dimmer?

    Hello Mukund,

None of our in-wall motion sensors has a feature to disable auto-off function. If motion sensing is not a requirement for this area you could replace the MSCL-OP153M with a MACL-153M to ensure the lights remain on as long as needed.

If motion sensing is required for this location you could install a MRF2-6CL Maestro Wireless control and a LRF2-OCR2B-P-WH ceiling mounted sensor. This sensor is battery operated (rated to last 10 years) and send a RF signal to the main control. We also offer wall mounted motion sensors and in the event that one sensor does not provide full coverage of the space you can link up to 10 wireless controls to the main control.

Please let me know if you have any questions

    Matt,

Thanks for explaining there is no "disable auto-of" function.

Is there an override switch for turning the lights on? Some other motion sensors (without dimming) have 3 switch settings: "Off- Auto - On". This lets you turn the switch to "on", and overrides the the motion sensing circuit.

Is this feature on the MSCL-OP153M

    Thanks

The MSCL-OP153M does have a manual switch to toggle the lights on and off. This does not disable the sensor at all. So If you manually turn them on and leave the room, the lights will turn off after X amount of time. Also, if you leave a room and manually turn the lights off, next time you walk into the room, the sensor will come on if it is set to "auto-on."
