Can the letters be centred on the button or are the left side off centered only

You can fit a total of 10 character and an icon. If you need custom engraving I would suggest contacting your account manager or email engraving@lutron.com.

and yes, they can be centered or even shifted to the right

It is also dependent on the letters used. If you are typing this into the software during programming, rule of thumb is if it prints, it can be engraved. Also them shows up on the apps.
