    Real Event Calendar for RadioRA2

I'm very interested in figuring a way to setup a true calendar of events for RadioRA2. This is currently only available in Homeworks. I am working with a Jewish synagogue and they have only the need to automate 10 lights. Seems like major overkill to install Homeworks for this when RadioRA2 should be perfectly suitable for the project (even Caseta would work fine). RadioRA2 doesn't allow for anything other than MTWThF (same as Caseta). I am now hunting for 3rd party integration to solve this, but it needs to be extremely reliable. Any suggestions would be great!

    cliqk,

The only recommendation I could make is to use Time Clock Modes create an alternative mode and when the time of year comes around they need that mode they can have a button press that places the system into that mode essentially triggering events throughout the days of the week only while that particular mode is active. (for example by default the software includes normal, away, and alternate modes which can be added to). This would at least be a little closer to what you are attempting however the feature to create full calendar based control is only available in the HomeWorks Systems.

It is pretty trivial to use the integration APIs do basic things. What sorts of computer systems do you have onsite that run 24x7 to send scheduled commands? What types of things are you looking to do?

That is what I will be doing for my home. For Shabbat it is easy of course to just program the timing to kick in each Friday based on offset to sundown/sunrise. For Yom Tov's (what the OP is referring to), just have a mode set up for that (likely with the same setting as for Shabbat), and have it triggered by a keypad press. It gets tricky because these can be one day, two days or three days depending on the holiday and where it falls during the week on any given year. I have it default for 3 days, and if the holiday is shorter than than I (or in your case the client) can just turn that mode off (trigger normal home or away mode) at the appropriate time. It isn't a big deal because there will always be someone there right before and just after the holiday ends to trigger the appropriate mode.
