Anyone else installing dimmer switches in the attic and pico on the walls?
Anyone else installing dimmer switches in the attic and pico on the walls? I have six recessed lights and want to split them into groups but I don't want to have a 3 gang box on the wall taking up space. Or are other people here doing it differently?
Thanks!

The trouble with attic spaces is temperature and humidity. Both the range and the transition (hot/cold, day/night). It's nearly an 'outdoor' location with the exception of no direct rain on it. That and you lose the ability to control it from a nearby position should need arise. Popping the air-gap button out to replace a fixture, for example. An alternative is to put them in another interior wall somewhere nearby. Use code-approved installation of junction boxes in the attic to allow for connecting new lengths of wire from the existing fixtures to the new dimmer location.
