supported with interface

Interested in opinions about using options under "supported with inteeface" without using the interface.
Have found these settings to work better than the standard options in some cases.
Will this damage the device over time?

Mitch, if the software you are using is recommending that you use an interface, then not using the interface may negatively affect the dimmer or the load that it is connected to.
