Diva Smart Dimmer Switch Low End Trim Issue

I purchased the Diva Smart Dimmer Switch Kit (DVRF-BDG-1D) to replace my regular Diva Dimmer (DVCL-153P).
When adjusting the trim settings, I cannot get the low end of trim to go as low as the regular Diva Dimmer and still function properly.

The regular Diva Dimmer could go down to the equivalent of around 1-4% of the Diva Smart Dimmer and turn on the lights from off, directly to fully dimmed. It would sometimes take a couple seconds for the lights to turn on, but it worked well.

But the Diva Smart Dimmer can only have lower trim to around 30% in order to be able to turn the lights from off directly to fully dimmed. And at this level they aren't very dimmed at all.

However, If I set the trim to 1%, but turn the lights on to a higher brightness and then dim down, they will dim down to 1% without flickering, but as mentioned, wont turn on directly to 1%.

I assumed that the Diva Smart Dimmer would perform at the level of the regular Diva Dimmer and was planning to install these all over the new house I was building.

Any suggestions on how to make this better?

    Thank you!

Update: My problem was my bulbs. I had some cree bulbs. I bought some bulbs on the official compatible list after Lutron support suggested, and those worked perfect. I bought GE Reveal BR30 bulbs.
