Question Issue with Hunter Fan and Caseta on/off switch

I've tried searching out a few past posts here and on other forums and haven't found anything that quite matches my scenario/issue.
    The fan: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Harbor-Bree...ade/5014528857
    The switch: Lutron PD-5ANS-WH-R
Wiring: I have just a single wire/switch from the fan to the wall. I'm OK with the fan/light being all-on/all-off with this switch. I have the remote that I can use for controlling individual functions.
    The issue:
With the wall-switch in the on-position, I connect the wires to the remote control's control box in the fan. I can measure voltage to the output wires at the same as what's coming in (e.g. around 115v). Everything works.
If I turn off the switch at the wall and then back on, the output voltage of the wires is very low and the remote doesn't work until the control box is disconnected from power and reconnected with the switch on at the wall.
    Note:
In another room with a traditional on/off switch and a different Hunter fan, the same setup works. The remote control's control box appears to be identical in that fan. Which, short of un-wiring the Caseta, leads me to believe this is a Caseta-to-Hunter combination issue.
    Question:
Are there known issues with the Hunter/Caseta combos? Does anyone have any troubleshooting recommendations?

The 5ANS is rated for up to a 360w fan. Your fan is 46w plus an 18w LED.

Make sure the power in to the switch is connected to the black lead. Power up to the fan is connected to the red lead.

Make sure you have the neutral connected. Not all white wires are neutrals.

Hello, welcome to the Forums! We are sorry to hear about the issue you have encountered with your application. We typically do not see fan compatibility issues with Caseta on/off-only switches; the issues typically arise when controlling speed from a Lutron device if the fan is incompatible. That being said, we may suggest double-checking wiring on the PD-5ANS; ensure that the black wire on the device is connected to the hot power feed from the wall, with the fan switch leg wire going to the red wire on the -5ANS. Ensure neutral is connected to the white wire on the unit. Also, we may recommend testing to see if the switch works by bypassing the fan's remote control module and connecting the switch directly to the fan motor, and you may also try moving the Caseta switch to your other fan application to ensure it works there, as a test. We hope this helps!

Sorry, I could have given a little more info. I put in the Caseta switch a couple of years ago. It previously operated a light in that room. It has worked well the entire time it has been there.

The fan is new. I replaced the hanging light.

I ended up replacing the Caseta switch with a dumb light switch for now. Things work like I want- on/off at the switch and then the remote works (when the switch is on) to control the lights/fan speed.

I'd really like to get back to replacing that dumb switch. I have another Caseta switch laying around. Once I have the time, I'll try replacing it with that one.
