Question to which I should know the answer

It's been a while since I did the training, and this is my first ra3 system. I do have plenty of ra2 experience though.
The homeowner prefers the Sunnata style keypads, but the Maestro style dimmers (rd-pro) If using the maestro dimmers, do we need a ra2 repeater or will they communicate with the ra3 Processor?

    Hello,

Maestro dimmers and other CCA devices will communicate directly with the RA3 processor. You may need an auxiliary repeater to extend range though. All CCA devices need to be within 30ft of the processor or a repeater and all repeaters should be within 60ft of the processor.

We hope this sheds some light!

I thought the repeaters had to be withing 60 feet of another repeater - not necessarily the main repeater/processor. Did this change with RA3?

Yes, they can be within 60ft of another repeater but the first repeater needs to be within 60ft of the processor/main repeater.
