LED Strip with Caseta switch (on/off - NOT a dimmer)

Thinking of putting a low voltage LED strip (12v, but they make a 24v version as well) in the bathroom and would like to use a Caseta on/off switch (don't need dimming, but if that's an option so be it).

    My understanding:
    1) Need an LED Driver of some sort. Like this one:

    2) Need a switch/dimmer that's ELV compatible or LV compatible?

The strip in question, BTW, is this one:

If you are not dimming it doesn't matter if it is ELV or MLV. If you are using an electronic switch, make sure it is a new one. Some of the older electronic switches may not be able to handle the lower wattage of LEDs. Make sure you get a switch with a neutral connection and you connect the neutral. It may say the neutral is optional. It is not optional.

Hello mjonis, thank you for your question. As randyc said, if you are using a Caseta on/off-only switch, you will not need to worry about ELV/MLV specifications as this is only a concern when dimming is involved. You will need an LED driver to power the light strips, but as long as you stay within the wattage capacity of the driver and the Caseta switch you choose, your application should work no problem! We will also echo the suggestion of using a neutral-based Caseta switch, such as model PD-6ANS or DVRF-5NS.
