Toggled combo dimmer+fan - fan too slow

I have (now) five old Harbor Breeze fans in my house, alll from about 15 years ago.

Four of them have Leviton toggler combo switches (dimmer + fan control) and work great.

We recently installed the same fan new in box in a room that previously had no fan (we bought extras 15 years ago).

Seems Leviton no longer makes this toggled combo switch, so we used the Lutron switch.

The fan only runs very slowly. It is a pull cord fan and is on the highest setting. All three speeds work, but all are maybe 50% or less of what they should be.

Temporarily swapping out the switch with one of the old Leviton ones works perfectly, so the Lutron switch apparently is the problem.

Is there anything I can do or check to resolve this?

Note: the switch is not defective, I already bought another one and tried that with the same problem.

Hello domehead100 and welcome to the forums!

Our apologies for this odd fan/light behavior. Can you please provide the model number of the Lutron dual control? Also, which lighting load type are you using in the fan (LEDs, incandescents, halogens, etc.), and how much wattage? If LED, please provide the model number on the bulb as well.
