Miswiring traveler for hot
Hi. Just did a four-switch retrofit with an RRD-PRO and three RD-RD.
The wiring wasn't what I expected in the walls-- a mix of 1930s cloth wire and no rhyme or reason to the color scheme on the modern portion of it.
Anyways after the first two switches I got a little careless and I was left with two identical cloth wires that go from switch 3 to the final switch (the switch proximate to the load). To be honest, I just guessed.
Everything works. But now I'm concerned. Are these switches so smart that if the installer swaps the traveler and load wire on a remote dimmer that they will still function normally?
